TIKA and WORF Inaugurate Women’s Circular Economy Empowerment Project

WORF officially inaugurated the Economic Women Empowerment through Circular Economy Activities Project in partnership with TIKA. The event brought together senior government representatives, development partners, women waste workers, young people and community leaders to demonstrate how recycling can create dignified and sustainable livelihoods.

WORF Trains 158 Young People in Entrepreneurship and Digital Skills

Through the Going Beyond Project, implemented with Sheria kiganjani and DOT Tanzania and funded by the Mastercard Foundation, WORF trained 158 young people in entrepreneurship and digital skills. WORF received a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of its contribution.

The Women in Recycling Foundation (WORF) successfully implemented a two-month glass upcycling programme in Makangarawe, Dar es Salaam, supporting 50 women to transform discarded glass into useful and marketable decorative products.

WORF Launches Women in Green Tech Innovation Programme with Women Win

WORF secured a two-year partnership with Women Win through the FREE STEM Fund to equip 100 girls and young women aged 15–30 with skills in coding, software development, digital innovation and entrepreneurship. Participants will develop digital solutions addressing waste management and circular economy challenges.
